Can my Guinea Pig eat Green Cabbage?

Yes, they can eat it up to 2-4 times a week!

Can be high in carbohydrates, which can predispose to bloat, digestive upset, or enterotoxemia.

While many owners feed cabbage and their pets seem to have acclimatized to it, we don't recommend it as it can be a cause of digestive upset.

Guinea pigs and rabbits should have a variety of at least 5 different types of leafy greens to protect against nutritional excesses and deficiencies. At least 80% of the diet should be a good quality grass or cereal hay.
