Can my Guinea Pig eat Persimmon (American)?

Yes, they can eat it up to 1-2 times a week!

High in sugar - a guinea pig should have no more than a 1 cm x 1 cm piece a week

Persimmons have hard and soft varieties, and soft fruit is sweeter than hard fruit. This can be a fun treat when they are in season, but feed small amounts to reduce the risk of digestive upset

Guinea pigs and rabbits should have a variety of at least 5 different types of leafy greens to protect against nutritional excesses and deficiencies. At least 80% of the diet should be a good quality grass or cereal hay.
