Can be high in carbohydrates, which can predispose to bloat, digestive upset, or enterotoxemia.
While cabbage isn't toxic and many pets do eat it, we don't recommend feeding it as gut bacteria that are unused to cabbage may ferment it and cause abdominal pain, and there are better options for leafy greens such as celery leaves, bok choy, and parsley.

Guinea pigs and rabbits should have a variety of at least 5 different types of leafy greens to protect against nutritional excesses and deficiencies. At least 80% of the diet should be a good quality grass or cereal hay.
